As the Summer Term comes to an end.
Hello Cannon Street
Firstly, we would like to say what busy bees you have been. We are so proud how you have managed to adapt over the last few months and complete work at home as well as undertaking your own projects.
We will no longer be setting you work on Purple Mash, but please feel free to complete and hand in the work that has previously been set. Instead, we would like you to complete lessons that are being set and taught by Oak National Academy https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom, the videos are really enjoyable.
Don't forget that Bitesize Daily is a fun learning website too, there are lots of lessons on there if you feel like you want some extra learning, https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize. Don't forget homework is still being set on My Maths & Spelling Shed. Extend your learning by playing maths games on My Maths.
Keep looking after yourselves and we look forward to seeing you around the school during the Meet the Teacher days.

Maths - Let's Rock in Rockstars 🎸 Challenge yourself, a peer from school or even a teacher. We are waiting!
Don't forget to log onto My Maths too. We are still setting you homework.
English - Practise your Year 3/4 spellings (found under Year 3 web page) and spellings from Spelling Shed. You can practise these, in any coloured pen, in your spelling books using any learning strategy. Why not apply these to a sentence? Or challenge yourself and write a paragraph using a variety of punctuation.
Reading - Don't forget to read every day and then you can quiz at home. Reading can be from books or from Purple Mash. If you want, why not challenge yourself and write a book review. If you aren't sure - please ask us.
Maths - Keep practising your times tables and number bonds. Make some column addition or subtraction calculations. Can you tell the time? Look at a clock face (analogue not digital). When is it 11 o' clock? When is it half past 2?
Look at shapes around your home. Look at the angles. Are they all right angles? Are they different sizes?
In addition, we had added some activities for PE and more French too so you can have a variety of things to do.
If you have any questions, please us ask at firstname.lastname@example.org or 'blog' us.

Free Audible Stories
For as long as schools are closed, Audible Stories are open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.
All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
A website that reads stories to you and you can use as a guided reading tool.
For further support for SEND activities, please refer back to our school website, under key information.
I will be setting some work too so check your 2todo list or please feel free to just explore the Computing section of Purple Mash. I have also set up a Computing Learning Display Board so it would be great to share some of your work with everyone too.
If you wish to explore the world of Computing further you could try the links below. They are both websites recommended for Computing and free to use but always check with an adult that they are happy too before you log on.
