I hope you are all safe and well during this difficult time. Here is some information regarding how I shall be setting school work for the children to complete at home.
If you have any questions about this then please do email me and I shall get back to you as soon as possible.
All work shall be set on Purple Mash.
Every day I shall upload a new Maths and English task as well as a fun activity. The children will need their logins to access these (which they have in the front of their Reading Records).
On Purple Mash I have set up a 'Notting Hill Gate Blog'. Sharing>shared blogs> Notting Hill Gate learning blog.
Here, the children will be able to see what work has been set, on a daily basis. They will also be able to ask any questions about the tasks.
Children can also upload some of the work they have created on Purple Mash to the class display board.
1. Click on WORK.
2. Click on MY WORK.
3. Open the piece of work you would like to share by double clicking on it.
4. Click on the 3 small bars in the top left hand corner.
5. Click on SHARE then post to display board.
6. Select NOTTING HILL GATE DISPLAY BOARD and select OK.
I will let children know if I have set any work on mymaths or Spelling Shed through the Purple Mash blog.
Maths: Please check your 2Do's on Purple Mash (updated daily). Work will also be set on mymaths. Don't forget you can go on TTRS too - why not set me a challenge to compete against you!
English: Please check your 2Do's on Purple Mash (updated daily). Don't forget to quiz your books once you have read them - you can take a vocabulary quiz on Renaissance Reading too.
Connected Curriculum: I have set a 2 week project linked to the work we have been looking at in history and English. You will also be able to showcase your creative skills too. To find this you will need to login to Purple Mash. On the homepage click Work > Class > Notting Hill Gate > Woolly Mammoth Project. Here you will find the full instructions of what to do plus some useful resources to help you too.
Spellings: weekly spellings on Spelling Shed as normal.
PE On our class blog on Purple Mash I shall add a link for Joe Wicks' live PE lessons, every day. There are also some suggestions of PE activities on the document below.
French Madame Anderton has created a document with some French work for you to do.
Keep safe and please keep in contact. I would like to hear from you all via email or the Purple Mash blog!

Free Audible Stories
For as long as schools are closed, Audible Stories are open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.
All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
'I See Maths'
'I See Maths' are doing a lesson a day to help refresh those Maths skills during the school closure.
To access these, go onto the 'I See Maths' website. Find the 'Home Lessons' tab and look for the Year 3 and 4 lessons for that day.
There will be a YouTube video to watch (which is the lesson). After you have done this, there is a link underneath the video saying 'Today's tasks, year 3 and 4'. Follow this to a sheet of questions linked to the lesson. There are also answers on this page so don't scroll too far!
A useful website that reads stories to you and can be used as a guided reading tool.
I will be setting some work too so check your 2todo list or please feel free to just explore the Computing section of Purple Mash. I have also set up a Computing Learning Display Board so it would be great to share some of your work with everyone too.
If you wish to explore the world of Computing further you could try the links below. They are both websites recommended for Computing and free to use but always check with an adult that they are happy too before you log on.
